Install process in this state
- This is LADOTD state-highway right-of-way, not Florida SHS, not Minnesota trunk highway, not Utah state highway. Do not import FAC 14-20.010, MnDOT OLPA, or UDOT Special Use.

- Apply to the District Permit Office with location layout, camera type, power source, mounting details, and dimensions to travel lanes. DOTD performs a site visit before approval. Co-location on existing utility poles or independent poles needs prior written District Permit Office / District Administrator approval. Attachments to bridges or sign trusses need Headquarters R/W Permits Engineer approval.
- ALPC systems shall not be located on DOTD-owned and maintained traffic signal equipment. Electrical service shall not be taken from any traffic-signal or DOTD facility (cabinet, conduit, junction boxes, mast-arm poles, or signal posts). Do not interfere with traffic-control devices.
- If the proposed location is in another jurisdiction, or on a signal pole under a local signal-maintenance agreement, file a letter of no objection from that governing authority.
- Call Louisiana One Call before excavation; email [email protected] at least 24 hours before excavating on DOTD ROW. Obtain District Permit Office approval each time the site is accessed, including routine maintenance. Notify 14 days before scheduled maintenance.
